Little Amps Honduras Isaias Fernandez

Here I have another tasty bean from Little Amps Coffee out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Little Amps got into coffee a few years ago while living in Oakland, California. Watching roasters open and serving coffee like they'd not had before; intense, flavorful, fresh. They obsessed with the steps getting us the perfect coffee. Sourcing beans from amazing farms and roasting them with finesse. Little Amps also curates a smallish slew of new and used vinyl records including new releases, new re-issues, rare indie hits, and stand-by classics.

This is their fully washed Honduras Isaias Fernandez bean. Little Amps first bought Isaias' coffee through Collaborative Coffee Source in 2015. Not only was this the first time tasting his coffee, but their first time tasting coffee from the Santa Barbara region of Honduras. They were immediately enamored with all of it, and chose Isaias' coffee as a perfect example of the rich berry notes, lime acidity and caramel like sweetness common in the Pacas varietals of this region. Little Amps notes flavors of caramel apple, grapes, and lime. I brewed this at my standard 1:12 ratio. Great acidity in this cold brew. Lime, lemon, orange. Nice honey & berry sweetness. Made for a very refreshing cold brew.

Many thanks to Peter & Little Amps for the beans. This is the second time I have been fortunate enough to feature Little Amps on my page, so make sure to go check them out.
