Oak & Bond Chardonnay wine barrel aged Ethiopia

Today I have a wonderful bean from the folks over at Oak & Bond Coffee Co. After developing a passion for coffee, Oak & Bond Coffee Co. founders, Brian and Lauren McCulloch, continued to explore for their perfect cup. they were in search of a rich, vibrant coffee that they could share with their family and friends. They first found their perfect cup from a small micro lot in the Chapadas de Minas region of Brazil. It was at this point that Brian and Lauren took the leap to open Oak & Bond Coffee Co. To this day their goal remains, share their passion for sourcing the highest quality coffee with you.

This is their Chardonnay wine barrel aged Ethiopia coffee. It's a Semi Washed Guji bean with the barrel being sourced from Napa, California. Oak & Bond notes flavors of bright white grape, lemon, watermelon, & cocoa. First of all, love the packaging. No doubts this will be one of my favorites for 2019. Next, the bean was crazy awesome. But I also love barrel aged beans. This being a wine barrel, it definitely had different flavors than the typically done bourbon barrel bean. Nice acidity, bright & fruity. Citrusy & juicy. Very complex cold brew. Winner for sure, very well done.

Many thanks to Oak & Bond Coffee for the tasty beans. I also bought some off amazon, so I will have a few reviews from these guys for everyone.
