Maps Rift Valley Blend

Today's coffee comes to us from another local roaster here in Kansas City. Maps Coffee, out of Old Town Lenexa, Kansas. Vincent has been working with coffee for over 20 years, and now his quest is to create us the best, freshest cup of coffee we will ever have. He also has a bicycle shop and is a custom steel frame builder. His bike shop, Velo+, has been around since 2013, Maps Coffee since 2014.

This is their Rift Valley Blend. A blend of Kenya & Ethiopia beans. I brewed this at my 1:12 ratio. Maps notes a crisp clean body, berry aroma, citrus notes. This was an awesome blend. Most other blends I've had combine totally different regions to get a wide spectrum of flavors. This blend combines two beans that are similar in flavor profile, which I feel plays very well. Definitely a nice creamy smooth cup. Berry jam, floral, pineapple. Also some nice molasses, raisin, and chocolate notes in there as well. This is a great blend and made for an awesome cold brew. Well done.

Thanks again to @lindsaymortenson & Maps Coffee for the awesome coffee. I need to head over to their shop soon because they've started making their own chocolate as well.

Go give them a follow at :  maps-coffee-roasters.myshopify.com
